Twidale Show more https: River patterns, the spatial arrangements of channels in the landscape, are determined by slope and structure. At site and sector scale, channel morphology varies spatially and in time, but river patterns and drainage texture, or the frequency of stream lines per unit area, together determine the intricacy, or otherwise, of topography.

How hard would it be to convert an N class into a G class mechanically? Clearly the X to XR program went well enough good enough that they even made a few XRBs from scratch instead of simply cutting off the cab of an existing loco. If they are only used these days to drag around N and H sets until they’re gone, I’m sure someone would take them over the lesser T classes.
If an N class rebuild program has to remove the head end power units to fit a larger engine, I’m sure there are ample power vans still around to replace the missing HEP units. While H sets require a power van when a non-HEP-equipped loco is running, they only recently converted a derelict Z car into a power van ACZ to PZ ; I’m sure this is good use for otherwise old carriages past their prime. MTH , , and even a number of Hitachi T carriages are right there for the taking; their next trip would otherwise be to Sims Metal.
But the EMD alternator is recessed into the frame and the engine sits in a recess as well. So you’d have to modify the frame to fit a longer 16 cylinder engine. The turbocharged E3 in the G class was exactly the same length as the E in the X class.

Whiting worth the effort Feb 08 Whiting reports from Westernport this week have been a bit patchy, with quite a few anglers talking of hard fishing and sparse action. Many anglers who have been going out and ‘staying put’ in known areas have been struggling a bit, but the guys constantly moving about and trying different things are getting some nice fish. Fishing deep has been productive for anglers recently, with less fish coming aboard but much better quality in the fish that are.
Just make sure you have suitable ‘deep water’ whiting rods, as many standard ‘bank’ whiting rods will be overloaded with the extra weight needed in the deeper water. Customer Steve fished out from Warneet earlier this week and while the reports were grim, Steve and his mate managed 10 whiting between them – with only 2 fish measuring under 40cm. The boys worked hard and found the better fish a bit deeper in the 10m area, with the run out tide providing the action, and baits of pipi and mussel fishing the best for them.
Staff member Don fished around the top end as well over the weekend where him and mate Sam caught 17 fish. Fishing in around 5m of water, the bite started going as the run out tide started gaining momentum and the fish wouldn’t look past a small pipi fished on a size 6 ‘worm. Great gars about Feb 08 There has been some good fishing for garfish this week, with most of the shallow inshore areas holding good numbers of fish.

Western Port mixed results Nov 27 While Western Port has been fishing well for good variety, it seems a fair bulk of anglers out doing most of their snapper fishing have been out in Port Phillip so reports are less than normal. There have been decent reports of snapper coming from around the port, but the main hotspots are the ‘Lysaughts’ region, Rhyll and Cowes deep, and through the ‘corals’ area.
The bait preference for the Western Bay has been pilchard, or fresh baits of locally caught species like squid, salmon, couta and yakkas. Customer Bart had a good session with some mates out from Rhyll. The guys managed 3 table sized gummies and a good bag of snapper to around 3kg fishing in Bart said that pilchard was by far the most effective bait, and the fish bit best around the last stage of the run out tide. On the whiting front, many customers have been remarking “Have the whiting have started already?

Brief View of the Progress of Interior Discovery in New South Wales Amidst the ardour with which geographical research has been patronized and prosecuted in almost every other portion of the globe, it is a subject of surprise and regret that so little anxiety should have been shown by geographers, and even by men of science in general, to increase our knowledge of the interior of the Australian continent. In the evening our people returned on board with a hog, and an account that no water was to be had; they however made so good a day’s work of it, as to get forty pigs, seventy fowls, and vegetables in abundance, for a few nails, a little fail-cloth, etc.

How to Repair a DVD Recorder by Bonnie Conrad Connecting a DVD recorder to your television set or home entertainment center can be a real convenience, but when that recorder stops working, it is important to get the issue resolved quickly. A number of things can cause problems with DVD recorders, so the best strategy is to work through each of the possible causes one at a time. By working through the possible causes in a systematic manner, you will be better able to determine the source of the problem.
Locate the bypass hole on your recorder if the eject button is not working. The bypass hole will generally be near the eject button, but you may need a flashlight to find it. Insert a paper clip into the bypass hole until the tray ejects. Look at the bottom of the DVD for any scratches or dirt. If the DVD needs to be cleaned, spray a small amount of water on it and wipe it off with a soft clean cloth, starting at the hole and working outward.
Insert a lens cleaner DVD into the recorder and allow the cleaning process to finish. It may take several cleanings to restore the laser in the DVD recorder to working order. Allow the recorder to sit for a few minutes, then turn it back on and reconnect it. Doing a hard reset of the unit can often resolve problems.
